        THE HAWKWOOD MEDIEVAL FANTASY FAIRE
by Elizabeth of the Tudor Tarts

What a great day at Hawkwood! We traipsed all over the faire as three barbarians (two females with a male in tow), and got lots of great comments on our costumes. My girlfriend, Christine and I had my husband on a "pet of the day" lead, and all the women were commenting on how lucky we were, and at the same time, the men were commenting on how lucky he was.

The yellow booth is even "yellow-er" in person, and Greg is a real sweetie. The young lady who wore the chanmaile looked TEE-riffic, and I told her so (Photo, left: the two young ladies pose in front of the Dark Rose Armoury, showing off the chainmail costumes which created such a controversy both at Hawkwood and in the alt.fairs. renaissance (AFR) newsgroup). That girl could wear anything she wanted to and look great in it.
