THE LADIES
of the
TEXAS RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL
(UPPER LEFT) Several of the dancers at The Scottish Rogues' show by the Wharfside Music Gazebo. I believe the young lady on the right is also a member of the Carol Shannon Belly Dancers troupe, which does several shows daily at the Beer Garden Stage. (UPPER RIGHT) Uh, er...what can I say...? Moving right along....
(UPPER LEFT) The "Littlest Nun" (one of the French nuns, as played by Tricia Storie), offering grapes to fairegoers. Most patrons were curious why she had so many personal items depending from her waistcord--not realizing that pockets are a relatively "modern" invention! (UPPER RIGHT) Three of the Queen's ladies-in-waiting posed for a group snapshot with a patron. All the Festival participants I met were courteous and helpful, whether answering questions, posing for pictures or giving directions to places and events on the grounds.
A number of Goths and vampyres attended the Festival, usually accompanying Dobber the Black Faerie on his daily rounds. This young lady's attire was one of the more unusual and creative Goth/vamp costumes of those I saw.
