THE NEW YORK RENAISSANCE FAIRE STERLING FOREST
        by Richard Washington

Joe Jewell, Albee Tellone and Cindy Tellone, ready to perform a few of their standard tunes for the combination of (from left-to-right): bass fiddle, Cindy; acoustic guitar, Albee; and hammered dulcimer, Joe. This merry threesome call themselves "Featherstone", and clearly I enjoyed listening to them play!

Brahm and Dierdre Stuart and Cathy Martinez, along with Brahm and Dierdre's two daughters. This is "Shaman", returning to Sterling this year and bringing along distinctive melodies for fiddle, harp, mandolin and bodhran. That's Brahm in ye midyl, sawing 'pon his fidyl (Photo, right and below)!

And here be the men of "Mince Pye"--Scott Long, Joe Matzzie and Kenneth Paulson--in the midst of a jam session for thier favorite instruments: early recorder, hammered dulcimer and guitar.
