THE NEW YORK RENAISSANCE FAIRE STERLING FOREST
        by Richard Washington

Roving Randall Goldberg, strumming his trusty mandolar--part mandolin, part guitar, all musical. Randall is one of the Faire's resident Bards who roam about the shire playing their favorite music all morning and afternoon.

Here be one of ol' Blackwolf's old friends from Fort Tryon: Pat Bottista, blacksmith extraordinaire, he of that Magickal Forge, demonstrating the awesome power he doth wield with the force of Fire! Pat is based in Monroe, New York; and he has for many years contributed his blacksmithing skills to this and other Renaissance Faires throughout the East Coast.

Yet another example of the supreme dedication that only a Faire vendor can reveal before ye customer: Russ Maxfield, lord of leather garments, selling his finest belts, vests and sheathes (for swords). The Holy Cow Leathersmith is also a frequent contributor to Renaissance Faires across theEast Coast.

One of the lovely and talented popcorn sellers who presented their wares for those who sought to slake their hunger by means of parch'd maize (that's the phrase we Medievelers used for "popcorn" in ye olden days!).

Lady Helenia, the beautiful tavern wench who rode with yours truly and other assorted Faire friends (and fiends) 'pon ye magickal conveyance that transported us from the Shire of Manhattan to our noble Kingdom. 'Twas to Lady Helenia that I did reveal that, whilst I awaited said bus, two New York cops, unknowing as to the true meaning of Magecraft, foolishly mistook your Dragonmaster for one of Manhattan's vagrants. Indeed, the sillies nearly incarerated me for merely dozing off in ye bus terminal! The mentality of Mortals continues to astound me! Why I put up with such things as I do is beyond me! I guess in the end even a Mage must fight the good fight. Ah, me.
