THE NEW YORK RENAISSANCE FAIRE STERLING FOREST
        by Richard Washington

A few moments from the Flaming Idiots, as Pyro, Gyro and Walter indulge in the wisdom of the Lord of the Manor of "Wierd Al" Yankovic and "dare to be stupid!"

The Bard O'Neill (Diane Linn) strums her guitar with bodhran accompanying (Photos, above and left), as she shares her favorite songs from ye bardye traditions of the Emerald Isle.

Wyndnwyre, a harp/hammered dulcimer duo, premiered this year at Sterling. Like the other musicians gathered here, their songs captivated those who took the time to listen. By the way, if you'll recall that guitar/hammered dulcimer duo I couldn't identify two years ago--my apologies to Dave and Joni Massengale aka "Three Hams on Rye", for not taking a useable photo of you two. I again invite you to inscribe in Ryleh's Book of Guests, so that our friends know more about your ensemble.

Roselawn, the Heart of the Faire, where three jousts are held during the run of the schedule: First, at noontime; then at three of the clock; and finally, at six of the clock. Once again, I could not capture any of these jousts for you. Hopefully, I shall be able to do so soon. Ah, well...
