        TEXAS RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL
On Friday, October 18, 1996, three of us--John Dunn, Sean Eddings and myself--left the Ozark Highlands and headed south for the 22nd Annual Texas Renaissance Festival in Houston, Texas. It took most of the day getting there: we left Harrison, Arkansas at 5:30am, reached Dallas shortly after noon and arrived in the Houston area around 5pm.

On Saturday morning, we fortified ourselves with a big breakfast --pancakes, sausage, cornbeef hash, eggs and coffee--then headed for the Faire site near Plantersville. Believe me, we needed all the energy we could get! Join us now as we recall our visit to...
